A Holy Confidence When Your No Longer Bound - 09
Have you ever felt stuck, intimidated by life, overwhelmed by your past, or afraid of what’s standing in front of you?
In this powerful episode of the Made for More Podcast, I share a word the Lord woke me up with in the early hours of the morning - a message originally meant for someone I love deeply, but one I quickly realized wasn’t just for them. It was for all of us.
Together, we’ll talk about fear, freedom, identity, and the authority we have as children of God. We’ll unpack how life’s challenges can make us feel trapped, small, and powerless, while God’s truth reminds us that the door to freedom has already been opened.
If you’ve been staring at the size of the mountain in front of you, this episode will encourage you to shift your focus back to the One who created it. Through the story of David and Goliath, practical reflection questions, and faith-filled encouragement, you’ll be reminded that you don’t walk into any battle alone.
The cage door is already open.
Now it’s time to step out boldly, confidently, and fully into the freedom God has already given you.

Miranda Leigh: Hey guys, welcome in. I am so excited that you guys are back and hanging out with me. Just keep this one final reminder so close to you, guys. You've got this. It is not a cliche, just a word of advice, guys. This is literally truth. You've got this. You are not your past. Praise God. You are so much more. And I wanted to share just a quick Bible verse with you, real quick, before we head out. ⁓ that one of my shared with me last night. She gave this to me. She mentioned that the Lord gave her for me. And I want to give this to you. I want to share this with you. So this is in Matthew chapter 5 verses 14 through 16 and I'm reading out of NIV. Okay. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. In Jesus' name. Amen. Guys, this is so for you. I love you. Take this, hold this so close. He has This hangout that get the opportunity to be with each other today ⁓ about breaking fear, ⁓ intimidation, shame, ⁓ the mindset that keeps people trapped, ⁓ even after God already opened. Okay, so coming in hot after our last episode of protecting your peace, this becomes the next step into the journey. You know, and it's so timely and how God delivers these moments. I'm so excited about this today because honestly, friends, once God starts to restore your peace, He starts teaching you how to walk boldly in freedom. And I really believe that this episode should feel so personal to you, so raw, so faith-filled. Such amazing things in store for you. I cannot wait to hang out with you guys again. Thanks again for being here with me, and I will see you soon. Love you guys. Encouraging, okay, because this is exactly the word that God has given me to share with you, because it is the truth, because he does not want any of his kids to be stuck in the cage that we have kept ourselves in for so many years, like I was talking about earlier, because of fear, shame, whatever reason that we might be trapped, okay. God is saying the door is already open. Just gotta go. You just gotta step. So I am so excited that you're here. Welcome in to the Made for More podcast. I am so excited today because this was a total God moment. Okay. I truly believe that in my heart there are so many people walking around feeling so trapped mentally, emotionally, spiritually, you know, intimidated by life or fear, shame, the past, you know, and the size of the mountain that's standing in front of them. Like we all have. mountain or have had a mountain in our life where we're just like, God, like I don't understand how this thing's even gonna come to pass, right? And listen, guys, the Lord kept reminding me of the simple truth. The cage door is already open. Some of us are literally standing in front of that freedom that God has already gave us, guys, but fear keeps convincing us to stay sitting in this same prison cell. So today we're talking about identity, authority, fear, freedom, intimidation, and what it truly means to walk boldly as a child of God and God. ⁓ truly believe with everything in my heart that this episode is gonna unlock something so ⁓ special in specific today so if it even is for one person then this is all worth it ⁓ but literally is about us no longer accepting the breadcrumbs okay ⁓ God to give us ⁓ so much ⁓ and we're just sitting here just accepting just the little ⁓ that feel that we are worthy of We're never gonna understand the fullest capacity of which that God has for us or what he wants for us. Okay. So let's just open this up in prayer. Let's invite the Holy Spirit in because guys, it's just gonna get wild. So Jesus, I thank you so much for every person listening today. God, I pray for the person who feels trapped in fear, trapped in shame, trapped in intimidation, or just trapped in weight of the past. God, would you remind them that today that they are say that they are God, would you break fear off of their mind, break intimidation off of their spirit, and break every lie that's telling them they're too far gone, too broken, or too small? God, would you just teach them how to walk boldly in the freedom that you've already paid for? And remind them that they are never walking into a battle alone. In Jesus' name. Amen. Okay, friend, let's get into it. So Here's deal, and this is the truth, okay? Fear makes the mountain look bigger. You know, I think that there's so many times that some people have spent so much of their life surviving that they unknowingly have become intimidated by everything around them. You know, if you think about it, guys, fear magnifies obstacles. You know, like trauma and hardships can make people feel powerless, you know, and I truly believe that many people in their lives live intimidated by authority or confrontation or failure. And listen, guys, the whole idea of this whole thing is that the enemy wants people to believe that the mountain is impossible. But God. But God, okay? ⁓ I'm here to tell you that if you are someone that you feel in your life that you have felt trapped or you felt stuck or you felt that you're just getting the bottom of the barrel, you're just getting like the breadcrumbs like I was talking to you guys about earlier. This is exactly like the word that God gave me for it was for my brother. And I felt like I was just like, ⁓ no longer have to accept ⁓ breadcrumbs you no longer have to accept the minimal of life just because that that is what the enemy has tried for so many years to make you feel your worth was worth and he's like yeah that totally makes sense but I believe that there's so many of us guys who are intimidated by authority intimidated by confrontation intimidated by failure you know intimidated by other people's opinions and eventually you can start shrinking yourself before life even gets the chance to challenge you because I honestly think that those those mountains moments are so beautiful but they can feel so overwhelming but guys i really believe that god just wants to challenge us in that moment to be like where are you gonna put your faith are you gonna put it in the fear are you gonna put it into me you know and i want you to remember something friend okay life is always gonna have trials and obstacles but instead of staring at the size of the thing in front of you i want you to remember who created it okay god created the mountain He created the ocean, he created the sky. Nothing you face surprises him. So I want to ask you guys, what area of your life has made fear feel impossible? area what's coming to your mind say it out loud You know, mine was truly just surrendering this chapter of my life of saying, Okay, God, if I'm not gonna fully work full time, you know, and I'm gonna go in on what you wanna do with this podcast and what you wanna do with mentorship and, you know, how you really want me to be Space, God, I have to trust you with every area, and guys, fear for so many years tried to keep me bound with finances. I'm telling you right now, and it made it feel impossible to ever break the cycle, you know, of just always trading time for money and just working so hard for things. But listen, like God wants to be our our ultimate provider in everything, you know, and I believe that when you can release That fear, and you can say, God, I'm I am worried about this, but I try I'm afraid of it. But like I trust you, and I know that you are walking right beside me. And this is exactly what I told my brother whenever I was sharing this story with him. I said, Listen, I want you to remember that every moment that you walk into, you are now gonna posture yourself different when you know who's standing right beside you. He's like, What do you mean? I said, Listen, when we're Into hard situations and we feel that we are in this thing alone, of course it's gonna feel overwhelming, of course it's gonna feel scary, of course it's gonna feel you know, just I can't do this, you know. But friend, what would happen if every time we are faced with a challenge that we imagine Jesus right next to us walking into every situation with us, how much more confident would you feel? I feel like my shoulders just naturally went back when I said that, and it just felt like my lungs expanded more. And I was able to take a deeper breath and be like, Yeah, like I'm not fighting this battle alone. I'm not, and I need you to remember that you are not fighting any battle that you are facing alone. And I want you to remember that the next time. Fear tries to creep in. Am I giving into this thing because it's scary? Am I giving into it because I just don't know anything about it? You know what I mean? I'm or am I afraid to be challenged by it? But like, let's not look at it like we're going into these things alone. Let's literally look at it like Jesus is right next to us, and I can promise you that mountain's gonna look so much smaller. I can promise you that. Guys, this leads us into my next point that you were created with intention. Okay, one thing I really want you to sit with today is this. ⁓ God created every detail in this world intentionally, ⁓ much more intentional do you think he was with you? ⁓ ⁓ are literally created in his image. ⁓ ⁓ are not an accident. ⁓ You were not randomly thrown together, okay? Like God literally created you in the image of himself. And I think sometimes we forget the weight of that. You know, because I think if people truly realized who they were, they would stop living afraid. ⁓ It would stop living so afraid, guys, because the enemy, once he attacks identity, it's easier to produce the lack of self-confidence. You know what I'm saying? Because it's like, man, I'm not able to be confident at all once my identity is squashed, right? And guys, God has never intended for his children to live defeated. And this is why I'm here to tell you, he's literally created everything with so much detail and so much intent. So how much more does he care about you, right? So let's bring this back to scripture, okay? Genesis 127. So God created mankind in his own image, guys. Like this literally is saying that you carry heaven's fingerprint. Okay? Never forget that. Never forget that. Because there's something so powerful about understanding who you are and whose you are. And when you understand that, guys, you are going to almost like regain your power back, right? Leading me into the point Jesus is in the room with you right and it goes back to what I had mentioned to you guys earlier his presence literally changes how we face fear and praise God for that and this goes back to literally what I was saying you know how much less intimidating would the mountain feel if every single time you walked into every scary situation you truly remembered that Jesus was standing in the room with you. How much would change Right? Because suddenly you're now not walking into that courtroom alone. You're now not walking into the hard conversation alone. You're now not walking into motherhood alone. You're now not walking into recovery alone. You're now not walking into healing alone. Because Jesus is literally with you. Right? And when you remember who stands beside you, fear starts losing his grip. Praise God for that, right? Anxiety loses power when we remember that we are. Guys, and remember this point that God never called us to fight in our own strength. That's the whole purpose of him going to the cross for us. Like, thank you, Jesus, that you went to the cross so we did not have to deal with any of this mess on our own. But guys, how many of us walk into battles thinking that these are our own battles, right? And we have to fight this thing in our own strength. But I can promise you, again, as I mentioned earlier, that mountain's gonna feel so much smaller when we realize that this is not our own strength. I'm almost seeing it's just like an angel army surrounding us, also, right? Of understanding that Jesus is there with us fighting this thing. Guys, we have angels assigned to us to help us fight these battles. Okay? So listen to me when I tell you when you remember who stands beside you, fear cannot hang on to you anymore. Because you're gonna know that you are the daughter of a king, the son of a king, right? You're gonna understand exactly who your authority is now because Jesus is there with you. You are made in his image, as I mentioned before. Okay, so at the end of the day. You are not meaningless. You are not nothing. You are not worthless. You are not unworthy. Like the enemy tries to tell you, right? That you are. Guys, because you are a powerful son and daughter of a king. So when we can understand that, fear cannot hang on to us anymore. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. So I wanna ask you guys a few questions before we dive in a little deeper. What would change if you truly believed that God was with you? change? What would be different in this moment? Guys, have you been living intimidated by life? Yes or no. And if so, why? Remember say this stuff out loud, guys, because when you say this out loud, again, it's like you're you're bringing Light to a dark place, right? And where light is darkness can't exist. So if we're saying this thing out loud, guys, the enemy cannot suppress us. The enemy cannot, you know, keep our mouths shut with the power that we have, right? Because at the end of the day, we have to be willing to bring this thing to light so God can actually do something with this, right? Let me ask you, what lie has kept you trapped mentally? Finally, are you still sitting inside of a cage that God had already opened for you? And if you are This is leading me in to my final moment with you guys. I'm giving this like a holy confidence moment. This is like the David and Goliath moment of the whole situation, guys. I love the story of David and Goliath because everybody else focused on the size of the giant, right? But David focused on the size of his God. Despite his size, guys, and his age and all these things, David knew that he wasn't fighting alone. And some of you listening today need to remember that too. That God is literally fighting on your behalf. Not because you're perfect, not because you have it all together, but simply because you are his. Guys, David wasn't fearless, he was literally just faithful. In to wrap this all up with a beautiful bow, guys, faith shifts perspective. So at the end of the day, when everybody else saw a giant, David remembered who fought on his behalf. So at the end of the day, that is why he could take that moment with confidence because he knew that God was fighting the battle for him. Guys, the cage door is literally already open. You know, some of you are praying for freedom while standing in front of an unlocked door. Some of you are used to just picking up the breadcrumb moments of your life when God wants to have manna reign from heaven for you. Okay? The real question is here: will you trust God enough to walk it out boldly? Not ashamed, not fearful. Not half committed, but boldly, like someone who truly knows who they are. And that is a child of God. I love this so much. This is it just fuels my faith. It just encourages me so much. And I just want to leave you with this encouragement, guys, that you do not have to spend the rest of your life living intimidated by your past, fear, shame, or the size of what's standing in front of you. Because God did not create you to live spiritually small, guys. You are a child of God. And remember, you truly understand that. I know you. When you truly understand that guys, everything changes. The obstacle still may be there, okay? The mountain still may exist. But suddenly you can stop focusing on the size of the mountain and start remembering the one who created it. Amen. Guys. just like totally blessed me. Like it blessed me when I when the Lord woke me up and he gave me this word and it blessed me whenever I was delivering it to my brother. And it blessed me because like I see how we can use this every single day to check our faith. Where are we at with our faith guys? You know, and I pray that this blessed you today and I pray that even in this moment that if there's someone that's popping up in your head or in your heart, would you send this to them? Would you let them know that if they need that reminder today that the cage door is already open, all they have to do is just step. Guys, listen. This is just so mind-blowing to me on how God loves us so much and He gives us these simple reminders that we are not our past. We are not where we used to be. Thank God we are not who we used to be, right? But who we are now is one step closer to who we are becoming. And I'm just believing. so much love and so much blessing for you. I love you guys. Cannot wait to see you on the next hangout. I pray that you are blessed and just remember you are created guys for so much goodness. You are created to be impactful. You are created to be bold and powerful in the light. And don't you ever let the enemy anything of this world your past fear shame whatever Ever try to rewrite the script, guys, because that is why Jesus went to the cross for you, for me, that we did not have to carry the weight of this. So as we close out, let's just go out in prayer and just literally, I can't I can't even tell you. I pray that this just inspired you. but I want you to know I pray that there's just something that broke off you today. I know that there is someone out there that has been believing for this, and I know. somebody can understand that they are seen despite their past, that they are not their failure, that they are not any generational traumas that have happened to them. Okay? You are not the definition of a failure. And I just need you to know that you were created in the image of God. So that means guys that you are a masterpiece. So let's go out in prayer and remember who we are. Okay. And as we go out, just continue to let that light shine just like he wants it to. And it's gonna get us one step closer to where we are going and who we are called to be. Amen. Amen. So Jesus, thank you so much for reminding us today who we are. I thank you that fear does not get the final say in my friends, God. Shame does not get the final say. Thank you, Lord. Our past does not get the final say. God, would you teach us how to walk boldly in freedom? Help us to stop shrinking in rooms that you've called us to stand confidently in. And remind every single one of my friends listening today, God, that they are loved, chosen, protected, and they are never alone. The cage door is open. And today we choose to walk out boldly. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen and amen. Amen. Guys, I love you so much.
